1-1 Wheel Throwing Workshop

Join this 2-hour 1:1 wheel throwing session, designed as a personal introduction to the potter’s wheel. This is a private workshop where you will work directly with me at the wheel, learning the basics of wheel throwing and how to form a variety of simple shapes. This workshop is suitable for adults only. During the session, you’ll be guided step-by-step through centring clay and throwing different forms. You’ll receive 6 balls of clay to work with and will be able to keep your favourite 4 pieces, which will then be fired, and glazed in your chosen glaze. If you’d like to continue developing your skills, you’re welcome to rebook this session to progress further at your own pace. Come with ideas or you can explore sample pieces in the studio for inspiration, and choose from a range of glaze options for your finished work. Once complete, you can either: *Arrange a collection date and time, or *Pay for shipping on the day, and your pieces will be sent directly to you. Tea and coffee are provided during the session. What to wear / bring Aprons are provided, but please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Short nails are recommended for working with clay comfortably. A friendly, creative session designed for all abilities! No pottery experience required. Parking info The studio is located in a residential area, so there is no dedicated parking on-site. Please allow time to find suitable parking nearby before your workshop. Parking is available on surrounding residential streets, but availability may vary depending on the time of day. If there are no suitable dates available or the workshop is fully booked, you can also enquire about a private session.
