This one-off 1-to-1 wheel throwing session is perfect for beginners or those wanting to improve their skills on the potter's wheel. During your session, you’ll learn the fundamentals of throwing on the pottery wheel, with the whole session tailored to your pace and skill level. You’ll learn how to: *Centre clay confidently on the wheel *Learn the basic techniques for throwing and shaping pots *Create your own pots, such as cups, bowls and small vessels *Choose glazes for your pots After Your Workshop Once your course has finished, I will glaze and fire your pots in the glazes of your choice. Your pottery will be ready to collect or have shipped within 3–6 weeks after your workshop ends. You will be sent an email as soon as your pieces are ready. As pottery is a handmade process, please allow for slight variations in timing. Shipping fees apply, or you can arrange a collection from the studio. No previous experience is necessary, this course is beginner friendly for ages 10+ What to wear / bring Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Short nails are recommended for working with clay comfortably and long hair to be tied back. You’re also welcome to bring food and drink, provided it is packaged or in a lidded container. Parking info The studio is located in a residential area, so there is no dedicated parking on-site. Please allow time to find suitable parking nearby before your workshop. Parking is available on surrounding residential streets, but availability may vary depending on the time of day. If there are no suitable dates available or the workshop is fully booked, you can also enquire about a private session.
